The Wilmot’s & our suppliers Commitment to Local Farmers
Our supplier source the majority of their meat from local farmers and local suppliers. Each supplier has to be visited and approved before they are allowed to supply the company, ensuring they supply only the finest quality meats to us, their customers. For their beef they insist on traditional breeds such as Herefords, Aberdeen Angus, Longhorns and Belted Galloway’s. They also buy Highland cattle and quality continental breeds such as Limousin and Charolais. They hang their Beef for a minimum of 21 days to allow the meat to mature naturally to ensure tenderness and flavour. The Pork they supply is from gilt pigs (females) some of which are Organic and outdoor reared. All of their lamb comes from local Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire Farms. They also buy their turkeys locally; these are naturally fed and reared with a high percentage of these being Organic. As part of our continuing efforts to provide a great service to our customers we now offer fresh meat, vegetables and other products, either from our great suppliers or prepared here in the Wilmot kitchen.
Order by 9:30pm Monday to Friday for collection betweem 1:00pm and 11:30pm the following day. (If you wish to collect on Sunday make sure your order is with us by Friday).
