Briar Close Residents

Briar Close House is a registered provider of living accommodation for people who require nursing or personal care. Everything we do is driven by the needs, abilities and aspirations of our clients as far as is practicable. We are committed to the principle of consultation and full involvement of clients and their representatives at all stages.

Briar Close House is avaialable to clients with wide ranging needs (older people, mental ill health, dementia, physical needs, sensory needs etc).

The property is set in the village of Borrowash and lies between the cities of Derby and Nottingham. Borrowash hosts amenities such as a variety of local shops, pubs/restaurants and a library. Briar Close House is also on a main bus route to Derby and Nottingham. We are also within walking distance of Elvaston Castle Country Park where various annual events are held all year round.

We provide a range of health and social care support in partnership with other agencies.  This involves a regular programme of social activities, hobbies and leisure interests, including the choice and opportunity for people to participate as fully as possible in local community activities.

We support people’s rights in care including their continued links to participating as a citizen of the wider community and to have emotional and social needs accepted and respected. We have procedures in place to safeguard clients and accessible and open procedures for addressing any suggestions or concerns raised by clients or their representatives.

Everyone choosing to live at Briar Close will have a personal service plan as a working document to identify their health and welfare needs, appropriate treatment, education and social needs, preferred daily routine, likes and dislikes, dietary requirements, their interests and how they like to be addressed.

We provide excellent training for our staff and work to ensure they have the appropriate skill mix to meet the requirements of those who make Briar Close their home.
